Calling all procrastinators…

…myself included. The following is from Sacred Space’s reflection on the Gospel passage for today (for those observing the feast of St. Columban, that is), Luke 9:57-62.

  • Lord, your call: Follow me— is repeated day by day in the countless choices I have to make for better or worse. If I put off my response, I will probably never respond at all. Your call is an opportunity to be grasped at once, or it may not recur.

How often do I procrastinate, saying to myself, “I can get that done later, I don’t need to do it now,” and then it doesn’t ever get done? How many opportunities do I miss as a result?
